NOTICE OF GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE
The Franklin County School District (“FCSD”) has adopted an internal grievance procedure which can be used by anyone who wishes to file an accessibility related complaint of disability discrimination.
Grievances must be submitted to: Technology Coordinator, Franklin County School District Post Office Box 605 Meadville, Mississippi within thirty (30) calendar days of the alleged discriminatory action/violation and must be in writing and contain the name and address of the person filing it. The grievance must also state the problem or action alleged to be discriminatory and the remedy or relief sought.
The District will investigate the grievance and respond no later than thirty (30) calendar days after its filing. Please note that filing a grievance with the Franklin County School District does not prevent an individual from seeking any and all other assistance as guaranteed by law.
The person filing the grievance may appeal the decision after any investigation by writing to the Superintendent of Education within fifteen (15) calendar days of receiving the decision.
The Superintendent of Education will issue a written decision in response to the appeal no later than thirty (30) calendar days after its filing.
